In April of 2017, I was hired as the Digital Content Manager at WETM 18 News, an NBC Affiliate station in Elmira, NY. Originally, I was tasked with managing the quantity and quality of the content that the reporters put on the website. Additionally, I was monitoring the station's social media and adding new custom pages for advertising clients as necessary.
Currently, I am responsible for making sure that we have fresh, quality content on our website throughout the day, as well as expanding our social media reach in order to draw in more consumers as I lead our digital overhaul. As of summer 2018, I have launched the station on Amazon's Alexa flash briefings and am in the process of changing our social media game entirely. Beyond adding Instagram to our collection, having utilized Google Analytics as well as Twitter Analytics and Facebook Insights, I've created a new digital strategy based on the trends observed, so that we can individualize each social media platform as its own entity rather than simply mirroring content across all of them.
I saw the station through a complete redesign of the website, have been immersed in generating ad creative for the sales team, both for ROS and targeted advertising, and I have created several custom pages for clients and station initiatives alike, such as Twin Tiers Takeover, Spectacular Summer, Glen All Access, and Twin Tiers Sports Night.
